Two for one, kinda day

I have been slacking on posting, reviews and everything with Christmas overcoming my entire being! So here is another one from Influenster. I received a Suave Family box..

Included was a Men's body wash which hubs said has a good manly scent and lathered just right. Next was a children's hair mousse that I use on all three of the kids, it works great for scrunching the girls hair or even spiking my son's hair, Smells yummy too! Lastly was a Sweet Pea & Violet body lotion, I am not big on floraly scents but love sweet pea! It was not too perfumery at all, made my skin nice & soft but did not leave that icky greasy. Overall we were all VERY happy with the products received and the best part is they are affordable! WIN WIN! 

Walmart has the Mens Refreshing body wash 12 oz for $1.88, wow! It is currently sold out online though. BOO! The Sauve Kids Cherry Vanilla Mousse is $2.98 online and is in stock. The Suave Naturals Sweet Pea & Violet body lotion 18 oz. for $2.50 but also sold out online!

I get so excited when the mailman comes with boxes and one of the recent things I received was the Braun Forehead Thermometer. It came right on time, Madison got sick the following night. I normally dread taking their temperature because my ear thermometer takes forever it seems on a cranky sick baby. This new forehead one if FANTASTIC! 

So lets go over the specs!

 What is a Twitter Party?

 A twitter party is a fast and fun virtual party, using the twitter platform. Usually held in the evening, twitter parties typically last 1-2 hours and are a wonderful way for people to connect and discuss a topic of choice. Most twitter parties have an expert panelist and party host to keep the party on topic.

 How does a twitter party work?

 Twitter users tweet with a specified hashtag (#) for the party, that will then link all the tweets to that party. The party host will announce the hashtag prior to the event. If you look online there are tons of twitter party calendar, parties are listed by the hashtag (#). Most you must RSVP for and it will tell you how to. Always RSVP, if you do not you are not eligible for the prizes. Users use their tweet chat client to search for the hashtag and join in the conversation. TweetDeck and TweetGrid make following a twitter party much easier, it puts everything right how you need it to appear.

What are the benefits of attending a twitter party?

Twitter parties are a great way to connect with new friends using the power of social media. You can interact with people who share the same favorite brands as yourself.  People get together for fun, friends and support. Often times twitter parties have some great prizes to give away.

Catching up..

So it has been awhile since I have posted, my life has been such a hectic mess lately but starting to level back out! In the last few weeks I have went from working full time to deciding to quit my job and I am back to a stay at home mama for now. I am sure any other mamas out there can understand what a crazy transition that is. I am now happy again though to say the least. I have more time for the kids and finally some "me" time! 

I have been preparing for Christmas and loving up my babies, hubby too! :) 

The other day the kids and I made cinnamon ornaments I found on Pintrest on a great blog called "Growing a Jeweled Rose" you can check the blog out here.. Growing a Jeweled Rose

It was a super simple idea and the kids LOVED making them. Here is her recipe for them..

Cinnamon Ornament Recipe

• 1 cup of flour
• 1/2 cup of salt
• 1/2 cup of cinnamon
• 3/4 cup of very warm water

Combine all ingredients in a bowl and mix well.  Wash hands and then finish kneading with clean, dry hands.  If the dough is a little sticky dust your hands with a bit of flour and knead.   After a few minutes you will be left with amazing cinnamon ornament dough

Breakfast on tho GO!

So I don't know about you guys but mornings are not my best part of the day, I am not a morning person at all. Mornings in this house are hectic so a descent breakfast for myself is out of the question. Or I should  say, WAS out of the question until I was introduced to BelVita breakfast biscuits.

Cozy Cushions - a must have for fall

So I have tried tons of Dr.Scholl's for her insoles but these take the cake! Let me tell you some of the perks of them first. They keep your feet warm and dry in this chilly icky weather! You can put them in rain boots, slip-ons, UGGs, dress or even casual shoes or boots. The multi layer design keeps your feet warm and dry but even absorbs perspiration, if you have those sweaty feet. ;)  It makes them good for every season.

I put them in my UGGs because every year I normally replace them with the UGG brand ones but these are soo much better, I think and more affordable. WIN! :) They come in a size to fit Women's 6-10. Retro Glam Mascara.. my new love

Let me start by saying I am SUPER snob when it comes to mascara, I always can find a reason I don't like it. Well those days are over, I have fallen head over heels in love with this mascara. 

It is inspired by the '60s, with the thicker, fuller, wide-eyed look. It gives fanned out volume with literally NO clumps at all. Rimmel Scandaleyes Retro Glam Mascara is all about the drama: lashes are thicker, fuller and longer in just one coat.

The brush is an hour-glass shape, created to echo the lashline and push lashes up and out for a full on flutter. I generally find that massive mascara brushes can be a little bit messy and this really did not leave much of a mess as long as you take the time to apply it.

It is waterproof so it holds up to tears of any special occasion or just watery eyes but yet can still be washed off without taking a brilo pad to your eyes. I really can go on forever about it! it really makes me eyes pop.

The tricks to healthy snacking :)

Hey guys! Its been such a long time since I have been on here being super busy working full time and being a busy mamma but I am back and have so much to share! Let me start with my new kick, healthy snacking! It all started when I got a VoxBox from Influenster a little while back...

So I proceed to open it and it comes with COUPONS, which i adore coupons, a pamplet and this cute little cheese cooler, which is so freaking cute!!

So of course I ran directly to the store, did not pass GO. HA! Long story short, the kids  it! so I next trip I bought more. We have had string cheese before but never noticed the brand but Sargento is DELICIOUS! I got super creative for the kids, and they dont realize they are eating well. In no time everyone is snacking better and its all thanks to Sargento & Influenster!

To sum this up, even if you have tried snacking on cheese previously, seriously try Sargento! If my picky kids love it so will yours! :)

So i must start by saying when i got this in my Influenster SpringFever box I was kinda disappointed that I didnt get the dust as I was under the impression this was only for like short pixie type hairstyles, but I sure was wrong! I have medium to long wavy hair but normally use a flat iron and straighten my hair, with this product I could put it on the ends of my layers for more of a choppy effect, a lot like a fresh hair cut or if i was feeling curly I used it on wet hair, scrunched and voilà, we have pretty sculpted curls. It has such a light texture and i LOVE the smell. DEFINITELY, fell in love with this product! I am dying to try the rest of their products.

I was actually really glad this was included in my Vox Box, oddly enough.  Only because I had run out of deodorant the day before and it now meant I didn’t have to go out and buy a new one for a while. Normally I would NEVER stray away from Dove deodorant because I know it is safe and smells fabulous. Anyway, I think I have found my new go to deodorant.  After opening my Vox Box, I took a shower and put on this deodorant afterward.  While I was reaching to grab a shirt from my closet, I found myself thinking, "That smells AMAZING!" only to realize after a few seconds it was, in fact, my armpits. It  has a fresh scent that is light, but noticeable. The deodorant I had been using before always wore off throughout the day leaving me feeling self-conscious and being paranoid about the possibility of people thinking I smelled bad or had bad hygiene or something,  but Secret Outlast Clear deodorant lasts all day and it’s clear!  So no more obnoxious white marks on my clothes!  So, thank you, Secret and Influenster, for helping me smell glorious all day and eliminating the amount of clothes I own with white deodorant stains of them.

Each pack of imPRESS comes with 24 press-on nails in 12 different sizes, so you’re sure to find your match (hey, if it can match my tiny little pink fingernail, you’ll be able to find a size for you).  Each nail is lined with a plastic film, with a tab hanging off the nail-bed end.

First, I matched up all of my nails to their appropriate sizes (each nail actually has a number underneath it, making it a total cinch to match up both hands).  Next I prepped all my fingernails with the included prep pad (smells like rubbing alcohol to me) and then peeled off the plastic tab underneath the press-on nail, slid it tight to the nail bed and pressed it down. Note- do this carefully! These nails are incredibly sticky and once they are down… they’re down. I was blown away with how well they stayed… usually I’m so cautious about ripping off a fake nail, but these felt so secure! I loved the fact there was no glue to mess with and they did look really beautiful once on! It was so quick too- it only took a few minutes to do both hands and best of all- no drying time!  They come in a large variety of gorgeous colors and patterns so it’s easy to keep a few sets on hand for those emergency events or last minute date nights!

What I Liked

• Easy Application - They're super easy to apply - no mess; no fuss!
• Vibrant Colour - I love the intense colour of the nails and they totally remind of me the Gelish nails that one of my friends is a massive fan of.
• Price - Although these nails are a bit on the pricey side, they're still cheaper than a trip to the salon to have your nails done.
• Easy to Take Off - Me being me, I put the wrong nail on one of my nails, but it was super easy peel off.
• No/Minimal Damage - I feel like the imPRESS nails don't damage my real nails, which is a bonus as my actual nails are quite weak.

What I Disliked

• Finish - The tips of some of the nails weren't as smooth or polished as they could have been.
• Pop off Unexpectedly - I was just putting my hair up the day after I applied the imPRESS nails and one of them just came off in my hair. My hair wasn't tangled or anything like that, so I was a bit disappointed that happened.
• Price - Even though the imPRESS nails are cheaper than getting your nails done at a salon, they're still a tad expensive in my opinion, BUT there is often coupons to bring down the price!

Tastykake; YUM! :)

I'd never had a Tastykake Kandy Bar Cakes before I received my box from Influenster, and now I see I've really been missing out! The Reese's Peanut Butter Kandy BarCakes was the most delicious treat I've had in a very long time. I loved the chocolate and peanut butter and this kake was so amazing. If you’re the kind of person who enjoys these types of treats, this would be a home run for you, because it was quite moist and flavorful, unusual for a pre-packaged dessert, in my opinion.Chocolate is my weakness but this one literally, "takes the cake"! ;)

Sugar and Stress While in stressful situation body releases stress hormone cortisol. This hormone also makes himself more prevalent when sugar levels in blood decrease. For example when you eat a piece of cake, the sugar levels sharply increase after a while it decrease sharply also. At the time stress hormones are activated. They quickly pump more sugar and energy into the body. The problem is that those useful hormones can cause anxiety, irritation and sudden change of mood. 10. Sugar obtrudes important nutrients. Scientists warn that people who consume lots of sugar don’t have important nutrients in they ration, especially vitamins A, C, B12, folic acid, calcium, phosphorus, magnesium and iron. Yes this is defiantly different then my makeup& fun product reviews but, Hey! If it helps just one person with my review then I am happy! Mission Accomplished! :) So I received a chance to review this book through a company called One2OneNetwork.com and I wasn't sure if it would be helpful since my younger is 3 years old now but figured Id give it a shot. I could not believe how informative this book was, it is broken down into sections by age, I really wish I had this book to rely on when I had newborn/infants. Dr. Karp is famous for his brilliant insights into centuries-old parenting problems and for discovering breakthrough solutions that are simple yet practical. Dr Karp give actual steps unlike another book that I read which just gave information on sleep. We totally love Dr Karp and his calming reflex theory. He also features in this book different self soothing methods as well. Until I read the book I didn't think I could possibly learn anything from it but I did as it doesn't just focus on newborns like most it helps with sleep solutions all the way up to a 5 year old. I do recommend this book to any new moms and may just be my new go to baby shower gift to be sure mommas are not missing out on these solutions! :) Thumbs up to Dr. Karper.

I always thought Woolite was only for your delicate whites, boy was i wrong?! If you are like me and LOVE the new neon colors and dark jeans then this is a MUST HAVE! Dickinson's Witch Hazel Oil Controlling Towelettes

Again, another great product that I have fallen in love with but probably would have NEVER bought prior, The Dickenson's Witch Hazel Oil Controlling Towelettes. Let me start with the smell, its a bit strong but I honestly have to say this would be the only negative about these towelettes and luckily its not too bad that you can't get passed it. The pros defiantly overcome that one con here.  I have a terribly oily complexion as long as I can remember and couldn't stand it but one towelette in the morning before applying my makeup and again at bedtime after removing my makeup and I swear these make my not so fond of complexion much less oily and I have not had ONE breakout from the time i added these to my daily regimen. They do NOT dry out my skin, I have never found anything that has controlled the oily but didn't leave my skin too dry. The individual wrapped towelettes are a brilliant idea so you can toss a few in your purse and always have them on hand when you need them. They are affordable, $5.99 for a 20 count box and can be found at most of your drug stores and big chain store ex.Walmart,Target,etc. Has anyone else tried these?If so Id love to know how they worked for you.
